We went out for brunch today down at the local beach, walked past some weird pop up shark bus museum (in the pic) as you do and managed to grab a table outside in a good spot (an achievement at the busy cafe run by the wee Scotsman!).

The breakfast bruchetta. Excellent and quite healthy. Poached eggs, sourdough, avo, oils, balsamic, chopped tomato, onion and mushrooms washed down with an exceptional large flat white.

As I was sat watching the world go by eating brunch, I thought about the week (although it’s not over yet) and what I was going to write about when I got home in this post.

You always hear people tell you that your business idea needs to solve a problem. This is the part most leave out.

The time was 4:30am. I was barely awake, just stirring and coming around slowly in subconscious anticipation of my 4:50am alarm. Then all of a sudden…

CRACK BOOOOOOM!!!

The loudest fucking thunder you’ve ever heard scared the shit out of me. Storms in Sydney are like nothing I’ve ever seen or heard before. A million times louder and more fierce than what I was used to in the UK. Seriously.

I actually hate them. The thunder is so deafening that it shakes the buildings. Let you in on something funny here…

The last storm we had, it was actually nice and clear outside and I was watching the news eating my breakfast.

This shit really boils my piss.

Social media and the mainstream media has made entrepreneurship ‘cool’ and fashionable now.

We are in the age of instant gratification coupled with a large percentage of people feeling like they want and in many cases ‘deserve’ to enjoy life, travel, follow their passions, work from anywhere and do just about anything other than the 9-5 and that everyone can do these things.

You are being bombarded by messaging that you can easily get rich quick or get famous from posting some holiday or ass pics on social media.

You constantly get stories pushed at you about people who have seemingly achieved ‘overnight success’, claims that you can become a millionaire, quit your day job and be a successful entrepreneur in a short amount of time, images of flash cars, mansions and yachts and beautiful people frolicking on beaches and always, always making out as if it’s not difficult or that you can avoid actual hard work….… ...
